New Job and Snow in May

So today I started my new job working for TV8 Vail. This place is very cool and completely different from what I've been doing. It's not at all like a news station and I love it. The studio and the control room is small, but the equipment is pretty start of the art. And to make things even more interesting, today is May 1st, and there is at least 8" of snow. 8" of snow on May 1st. CRAZY ! ! ! Well needless to . say, I'll probably try to find a time to go skiing here pretty soon. That's about it.

I Love Colorado

Well I can't say for sure yet, but I think I'm going to really like it here in Colorado. Other than driving over the mountains from Denver, which at times was kinda scary, the trip was very smooth. Everyone out here has been very nice and very welcoming. I was able to take a look around my station today, and it's pretty cool. I finally have my own desk. Now how about that for big timin' it, and the view out my window, is the mountains. Pretty darn cool. I hope to have some new pictures up here pretty soon, once I figure out how to get more pics up here.

Long Truck Ride

Wow!!! That was way to much time to spend in a moving truck. I left Maumee, OH at 8am eastern time, and stopped last night at 12am central time. Yeah you do the math, way to long to be sitting on your butt. Anywho, I made to it where I wanted, North Platte, Nebraska. I hope I never stop here again, no offense North Platte. We everything went very smooth yesterday, and provided it does today, I'll make it to Avon, Colorado sometime this afternoon. I sure am hoping everything is a beautiful as I have imagined. Well, as Willie Nelson said, "On The Road Again."

Moving Isn't Very Much Fun

Well today was the day that began what will no doubt be a crazy, yet exciting few days. Tomorrow morning I leave for Colorado, Vail to be specific, and a new job, which I'm very exciting about and yet nervous, all at the same time. Excited because I'm taking another step professionally and combining two of my greatest passions, television and the outdoors. Nervous because I'm moving some 1400 miles from where I grew up and where most of my family is. But then hey, life isn't meant to be living being bored. Wow, that sounded pretty smart. Any who, I'll keep track as I go and enjoy the ride. Carpe Diem. God Bless.

Did This Work

Well this is my first posting. I just want to see if this works like I think it does. Hopefully there will be something more interesting soon.
